There is a high potential for establishment of the Egyptian cottonworm, a pest of many herbaceous ornamentals and field crops, in the west coast and southern United States. Another pest of oaks is the European oak bark beetle, which has many natural enemies like parasitic wasps. The learning objectives are to understand the following regarding the pests:
