The Tremex woodwasp spreads a fungus that causes wood decay and can potentially spread in the U.S. Little is known about the Tremex woodwasp because most of the life cycle occurs within the trunk of a tree. The twolined chestnut borer is a pest that attacks weakened trees and leaves D-shaped exit holes. The learning objectives are to understand the following regarding the pests:
